Indicadores emocionales y lactancia materna en madres de recién nacidos prematuros durante el período de internación

La internación de un recién nacido prematuro en una unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales puede afectar el bienestar emocional materno y condicionar las posibilidades de participación en la alimentación. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar los indicadores de ansiedad y depresión en madres de recién nacidos prematuros en dos momentos de la hospitalización, analizar su comportamiento según las modalidades de lactancia humana y describir la composición de macronutrientes e inmunoglobulina A en la LHC de la propia madre. Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, observacional y longitudinal con 55 madres de recién nacidos con menos de 32 semanas de edad gestacional y peso inferior a 1500 g. La ansiedad y la depresión se evaluaron mediante la Escala Hospitalaria de Ansiedad y Depresión al inicio de la internación y durante la semana previa al alta. En una submuestra de 20 madres se analizaron proteínas, triglicéridos, lactosa e inmunoglobulina A entre los días 25 y 30 posparto. Las puntuaciones de ansiedad y depresión disminuyeron significativamente entre ambos momentos. El análisis según modalidad de lactancia humana mostró diferencias en la ansiedad y trayectorias diferentes de la depresión entre los grupos. Las muestras de leche presentaron variabilidad en su composición y una concentración media de inmunoglobulina A de 224,25 mg/dl. Los resultados muestran una evolución favorable de los indicadores emocionales durante la hospitalización, aunque no permiten identificar los factores responsables de ese cambio.
