Producción científica sobre alimentación saludable asociada a la acuaponía

La acuaponía es un sistema de producción de peces y vegetales utilizado en varios países y se acepta que puede constituir una fuente importante de alimentos. El objetivo del presente estudio es identificar el apoyo de la literatura científica a la relación de la alimentación saludable con acuaponía, incluida la protección sanitaria de alimentos. Se observó insuficiente información científica que facilite la promoción de la producción de productos acuapónicos inocuos para mejorar la alimentación saludable, aunque se demuestra que son susceptibles de ser integrados. Las observaciones realizadas permiten concluir que se deben aumentar las investigaciones y publicaciones científicas sobre la acuaponía como fuente de alimentos inocuos y nutritivos para ayudar a mejorar la alimentación saludable de la población.
